A Miracle Takes Flight!
An aircraft’s flight is nothing less than a miracle. Yes the laws of physics and aerodynamics make it possible. But a human watching—really watching—a heavy metal tube ascend into thin air can’t help but recognize it as a wonder too amazing for words.
This miracle of flight captivated Peter Hoewisch—a child of sensitivity and an adventurous spirit, whose diagnosis of OCD made the dream seem unreachable. So it would have been, except it wasn’t just the pursuit of piloting that drew Peter. A call from the One Who wrote the laws of aerodynamics led the young man on a flight of faith that paralleled this quest.
The twin journeys took Peter from heights to depths:
His trust in an involved and compassionate Creator withstood crises and tests, until at last he came face to face with the God Who chose the most unlikely pilot to represent Him in places the captivated boy could never have imagined.
